That Void

No, she never wanted to give up
But life gave her no other choice
Silently she looks up in the sky
Hoping for a shooting star between her sighs

Alas, luck ran out and so did happiness
He did not understand, nor did he care
Everything moved on, so did their lives
But a void remained, like that last tear in the eye

She smiles and laughs
She moves like a fresh breeze
Inside her heart she carries that pain
When she gave everything to him, but all in vain
